Wearables for the Mining Industry
Showcasing the latest developments in Wearable AR Technology
specialised webinar demo
Last week we invited our customers to an online demonstration of the latest and greatest in the world of augmented reality wearables. The AR industry is developing at a rapid pace and the development of new and exciting products are coming in a seemingly endless stream. To make it easier for our customers to digest, we ran them through a short 45 minute session which covered:
- RealWear newly announced Navigator 520
- RealWear Thermal Camera
- Librestream Onsight Connect and Workspace

Librestream Onsight Connect and Workspace
As a refresher for our customers, who have seen Librestream previously, we showcased the Onsight Connect platform, which you can see in the image below. We took the customers through a remote support call on a carburettor, showcasing some of the key functionality of the platform, including:
- AI object recognition
- Live annotation
- Document sharing to device
- Low bandwidth mode

Following the demonstration, we discussed the backend of Librestream, called Onsight Workspace. Here we brought the customers attention to the myriad ways they could begin to use the data they are capturing during Onsight Connect calls. We also showed how easily transcripts and audio recordings can be searched, using simple hashtags, to find specific conversations. For instance, if you search #carburettor, you are able to access all conversations in which someone has mentioned a carburettor, instantaneously.
